The Perfect Car For Anyone Planning Holiday Travel

As 2017 is on its way out the door, I can't help but sit and reflect on all the cool things that have happened to me this year. From nabbing new editorial placements to going in front of my first live audience in Houston to do a segment, life has down a complete 180 for me in less than 12 months. Though all of those blessings are definitely some of the pinnacle parts of my year, one thing in particular that I'm super appreciative of are the many road trips I've gotten to take in 2017. Whether it was heading to New Orleans for Essence Fest or taking over Florida for a week, there was really nothing like hitting the open road.

But what's a road trip really without the right car to match? Since each of my road trips served a specific purpose, I've compiled a short list of the perfect cars for you to consider if you're traveling this holiday season. So, if you're behind on getting your travel arrangements together, you're right on time for finding what could be the perfect car for you — and maybe even your next big purchase.

For The Big Family: 2017 Mazda CX-9

If you're looking for a car that can fit your entire clan, you should consider going with the Mazda CX-9. A terrific option for huge families or those that just want a little extra room while traveling, this installment comes equipped with an optional third row of seats to make it a 7-passenger vehicle, an easy to use control system, indulgent interior, and plenty of storage room. Great for long travels or just simple two hour road trips, the CX-9 is the perfect combination of luxury, class, convenience, and affordability wrapped all in one.

For The Lone Rider: 2017 Toyota Prius

Traveling alone or as a couple this holiday season? Then you should consider jumping on the road in the 2017 Toyota Prius. Though small in size, this car will guarantee a smooth ride and a give you an even smoother deal on your pockets. When I drove this car from Atlanta to New Orleans this past summer, I spent less than $30 round trip on gas. Who doesn't want to save on cost during the holiday season?

For The Friends Trip: 2017 Mazda CX-5

Prior to this year, I had never driven a Mazda. After trying out two of them though, the brand is slowly becoming one of my favorite to drive. Not only will you ride in luxurious style for low cost, but you'll get great mileage, too — even in the SUVs. Although each version of the CX has something special about it, the Mazda CX-5 is a great car for friends who are just looking for a getaway. Unlike the CX-9 though, there is no third row, which makes for plenty of space and a fun, intimate ride alongside your closest pals. It doesn't matter if you take it to the beach or head across the country; either way, you're going to be in for one memorable ride.

Until next time!
