3 Father's Day Gifts That Are Unique Enough to Get Dad's Attention

Father's Day is just over a week away and if you're still picking your brain about what you get the dad in your life, there are plenty of people who are in the same boat. For me, it's always a little difficult to shop for my dad and get him something that he doesn't already have. Of course, I can do as I've done plenty of times in the past and head down to my nearest store and pick up a shirt, some grilling utensils, or even a new phone case, but I actually wanted to think of something different this year. Something that he wouldn't really expect.

Though it may not follow my method of shopping, I like to think about things that could actually benefit my dad in his day to day dwellings. So health, fitness, and items that can help him save money are all thoughts that I consider to base my gifts around. And this year, I found some pretty cool and unique options to gift to both my dad and brother-in-law!

So, if you're still on the hunt for gifts to divvy out this year, here are three of my picks to help you along your way. Rather watch my suggestions instead of reading about them below? View the replay of my on-air presentation of them at WESH 2 News Orlando here .

1. Nest Learning — 3rd Generation Thermostat ($249)

If you have a tech crazed dad, it's important to note Lowe's has everything you need for whatever budget you have and the Nest Learning — 3rd Generation Thermostat is one of those things. Give dad the gift of savings with this energy efficient thermostat that has built-in Wi-Fi! Not only will he be able to control the thermostat from anywhere on any of his smart devices, but he can also use the auto scheduling feature, too! And, if head down to Lowe's before June 19th to pick one up, you'll also score him a free Google Home Mini (orig. price: $49).
